The Role
• Reporting into the Operations Director you will manage a team of 120 – 200 staff.
• You will be working to/plus implementing KPIs including cost efficiency, waste reduction, quality and yields.
• You will lead improvement projects and set long term objectives for the business to promote a lean manufacturing operation.
• You will be responsible for H&S training and motivating staff to achieve maximum production and to consistently improve performance of the business.
• You must have the ability to effectively manage and lead a large team of people, to drive production forward is essential.
• You will be part of the HACCP team, leading from the front, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.
• The site is BRC accredited; you must have experience in leading sections of the standard.
• You’ll need to work at pace and have clear decision-making skills as you’ll be the lead operational manager on the site.
• You will be someone who is detail focused, can skilfully delegate tasks and keep people accountable for task set and project progression. As a fast growing SME the support structure is smaller than that of a blue chip organisation so you must be adaptable and able to implement these improvements in a smaller structure.
The Person
• You will be an experienced people Manager and be able to show operational leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment operating 24/7.
• You must be able to demonstrate a successful track record of implementing KPIs on site as well as how you have delivered improvements to performance whether through training or process improvement.
